Nevada Massage Therapists are licensed by the Nevada Board of Massage. Licenses can be verified on their website. Every massage therapist will also include their license number on advertising materials and will have their massage license on the wall of the office. Special establishment licenses are required

Massage therapists in Nevada must attend massage school and pass an exam in order to call themselves a massage therapist. Licensees must also be fingerprinted and checked for criminal records. Nevada requires that massage therapists and people doing Structual Integration or Reflexology must be licensed by the state of NV massage therapy board. Structural Integration and Reflexology are sometimes exempt from licesning but not here in NV.
Massage therapists in NV are able to call themselves “L.M.T.,” “licensed massage therapist,” “licensed massage technician,” “M.T.,” “massage technician,” “massage therapist,” “licensed reflexologist,” “reflexologist,” “licensed structural integration practitioner” or “structural integration practitioner,”
Draping the client for privacy is required in NV under law NAC 640C.340 Massage therapist required to drape client. When you receive a Reflexology session, you will remain fully clothed under the law except for the feet and hands. NAC 640C.345 Client of reflexologist must be fully clothed; exception for portion of legs and feet.
Massage therapists in NV are also required to get your written consent for Breast Massage (that is often done in relation to surgeries and other health conditions). Under NRS 640C.700(4)(c) Grounds for disciplinary action include massaging, touching or applying any instrument to the breasts of the person unless the person has signed a written consent form provided by the Board. RS 640C.910 Certain acts prohibited without license; penalties. A person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Many brothels use massage therapy as a front for their businesses making it very confusing at times when it comes to working as a massage therapist.
